My Life’s Meaning

Hi guys, I hope you have all been well. Thank you all for your ongoing support and patience. Today I’d like to talk about my life’s meaning.

For about 4 months I was scratching my head daily asking myself, what am I here to do. On this planet. So of course I kept listening to my motivational videos and one guy said to spend 20 minutes in the morning in deep thought and ask those questions.

So every morning I woke up and asked the universe or god. Whatever it is you believe. But I just flat out asked. What am I on earth for? What am I supposed to do?

For a while I got no answers that I liked and one morning I had a thought. It was like a whisper. You need to focus on your kids. That voice got louder every day.

So I started spending a lot more time with them. I started reading occupational therapy books and speech therapy books and tried to learn as much as I could about how I can help them.

You see when I found out about my daughters diagnosis. I broke in a way I can’t describe. I went really bad for a while and then one day I got that angry I decided to turn my pain around and use that energy rather than let it use me.

I’ve said it before. I had read 1 maybe 2 books in my whole life before this point. Since then I have read atleast 50 books. Just 40 minutes per day. In 2 years from now that will be 100 books. Every book I read I learn more and more and become more aware.

Don’t get me wrong. I’ve had my bad days and weeks but I then try to get back up. I just keep plugging away at it. Going forward I’d like too share in my blogs some of the books I’ve read and what I’ve learnt from them.

But going back to my kids. The relationship I have with them now is unbelievable. My baby girl adores me and I love her and my son so much and I’m sure most parents understand what I mean. She is still non verbal but lately I’ve noticed it sounds like she’s trying to talk. That gives me so much hope.

I now truly believe she will one day, hopefully soon start talking. My daughter is 5 and a half and my son just had his 18th birthday and I’m so proud of him. At his age I was a complete stuff up. I look at him and am so proud of the young man he is. He is a truly good person. He has a great soul.

Guys if you have any good book recommendations that you’d like to tell me about can you please post it in the comments below. I’m always looking for new good books to help me improve everyday.

Also if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you so much for your time and please stay safe.

One of the best quotes I’ve seen.

I love this quote and can see so many things in my everyday life so much better now as then I came across this quote and it all makes sense now. What a beautiful quote.

I know I do blog posts but from time to time I’m going to share some of my favourite quotes and it starts with this one amazing quote.

Spiritual Journey

Hi guys, you have probably wandered where I have been and what’s happened. But I decided to have a break and go on a bit of a spiritual Journey of my own. Personally I think it’s important to do this from time to time. That’s my opinion anyway.

My spiritual Journey had more do with the questions. Why am I here on earth. What do you want me to do? What is my purpose in life. Now I know I’m going to help a lot of people turn there pain or trauma around and be the best version of themselves.

I have read a lot more books. One was mans search for meaning. Great book. Actually one of the best books I’ve read. I will apologise for stopping my blogging but I needed that time to answer the above questions.

I will keep blogging now going forward but I just needed that time. The best thing I should have done was thank you all for your support and let you guys know that I was going on that spiritual break so I apologise for that too. I’m still learming

3 years ago I was homeless and now I’m doing really well and going forward I’d like to share what I’ve learnt from a different vantage point. One of them is patience.

I started asking those questions above every morning but I needed time and patience because you don’t get the answers straight away. You have to be patient. And it’s an inner voice you hear and it’s almost like a whisper. Like I said I’ll go more into detail in the following blogs.

This is just a blog to say sorry and thank you for all your support in the past and I hope to share my ideas with you guys going forward and talking about ideas.

Thanks again guys and I’ll start my blog posts going forward very soon. I’m working on my next one now and when it’s done I’ll publish it straight away.

Thanks again and stay safe guys. Take care for now 😊.

How to get out of a slump

Hi guys, I hope you’re all doing well. Again, thank you for following me, I really appreciate the support. In my last post I spoke about discipline and at the end of the post I said I would talk about the 3 ways to make money. I have not done any posts for a couple of weeks as I’ve been in a slump which I’m now just getting out of. So instead of talking about money in this post I’m going to talk about how to get out of a slump. I’ve done it a few times over the past 2 years.

If you’ve read all my posts you would know that both of my kids have disabilities. One has Cerebral Palsy and my other child has Autism.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been feeling a bit low lately and the isolation isn’t helping either (which I’m sure many people can relate to, after all, this has been a global experience). I’m slowly getting out of my slump and I’m going to explain how I do it, so that hopefully it can help you when you’re having a down period.

First of all I start just doing some easy things that work for me that I enjoy. Like walking and listening to motivational videos on YouTube. I don’t walk too hard or fast, I just walk and breathe and take it easy. This is more to relax than to exercise. I then do a little bit of reading, about 20 minutes. These little things help clear my mind and help boost my self esteem and mental health.

The other one is the big one that helps me the most. That is to help somebody else. It takes your mind off yourself for a while and when you’ve finished helping them you feel a lot better.

Currently my uncle is going through a tough time and needs to move houses as he and his kids hate where they live. My niece actually cried and that just made me go into a different mode. Now I’m on a mission to help get them out of there and this has already brought me out of my slump to have a goal, especially when others are relying on me.

They live in an apartment building with no backyard and the kids feel stuck inside as there are a lot of drug addicts in the area and the kids feel scared to go outside. I believe I can help them find a rental in a nice neighbourhood with a backyard so my Uncle can breathe easier and the kids can play outside.

So my uncle and I sat down with a piece of paper and wrote down his finances and created a budget that will allow them to be able to afford to move within 2 months. I will help him move his furniture and belongings. Then they will be living better lives and I will feel good because I helped them get out of where they are and I will also feel good when I see them happy.

But also in the meantime I have climbed out of my slump and am back doing all my daily disciplines again. I had about a week where I did not do much as I had lost motivation. Now, by taking action, I feel back to a better me.

So this post was about how to lift yourself out of a slump and these are the steps I took to do it. I helped somebody else and took my mind off the things that were bringing me down and I also did things that I know make me feel better rather than staying where I was watching TV and feeling sorry for myself. I’ve now snapped out of it and I’m ready to go again.

I really hope these tips and any tips in my blogs can help you. After all, the reason I started blogging was to help people that have been broken to recycle their pain and take their lives to a whole new level.

I really want to thank you so much for following me, I am very grateful. Please feel free to ask questions or leave a comment down below. I hope you’re doing well and thank you again 😀

120 Day Discipline challenge

Hi guys and thank you for all your support, it’s very much appreciated. I hope you’re enjoying my blogs on how I’ve turned my life around and hopefully I’m helping others to turn their lives around too. Today I’m going to talk about discipline and how I went from having little to no discipline to being very disciplined. Now I have amazing self esteem and self confidence just by following this strategy that I would love to share with you guys.

From the age of 15 until I was 37, I had very little to no discipline at all. I read somewhere that discipline is like a muscle that you can make stronger with practise.

Like building a muscle at the gym lifting weights with one arm and not the other, in time you will have one arm bigger and stronger than the other. The same principle applies to discipline. You can grow your discipline muscle. For me it started with the snooze button.

I used to push snooze 3 to 4 times per morning just to scrape out of bed until I heard a lady say that when your alarm goes off to count backwards from 5 to 1 then get out of bed before you reach 1. By doing this you’re taking your mind off the warmth and comfort you feel in bed and you just get up without thinking about it too much. Our brains are programmed to stay comfortable, so when you practise the uncomfortable repetitively you will become more disciplined. These are simple steps we can all take to grow our discipline.

Now the security and warmth of our bed is very hard to get out of – especially on those cold winter mornings! So for 30 days I challenged myself to do this every morning without missing a day. Now I can do it without counting backwards. The lady that said to try this method is Mel Robbins. She is a great speaker and my wife loves her after I showed her speaking on YouTube. Everyone can learn a lot from this lady.

Doing this first thing in the morning will set yourself up to be more disciplined throughout the day too and the more you do it, the more disciplined you will become. I then gave myself my next 30 day challenge and that was to walk for 40 minutes straight after work. The first time you get home you’re tired and just want to shower or chill out. But I persevered. Before having a shower I got changed and went for my walk listening to motivational videos on YouTube for 30 days straight. Now I do it easily and actually feel a sense of guilt if I don’t do it. So I’m actually programmed to do it now so it’s easy and enjoyable for me.

Then my next challenge was to stretch at home and go for a 20 minute run. Just a slow run, but do it without stopping. Again, at first, it was difficult but after 30 days I do it easily now. You can also run for 5 mins and stop for a walk then repeat the process until you can run the full 20 minutes. Your also building up your fitness. Do not be too hard on yourself at first. Just ease in and after a while you will be able to do it without stopping.

I then did a 30 minute, 30 day gym session and again, I feel very uncomfortable if I miss a day. I’ve programmed myself to do these things and these little changes have changed my life. That is 120 days and I now wake without snoozing and I’m walking, running and going to the gym everyday.

By doing this not only did I gain and strengthen my discipline but I noticed my self esteem improved and I started to love the man in the mirror. Before that, I hated the man in the mirror. I feel I need to share this because this technique is simple and easy to do if you just make a decision and challenge yourself. This stuff changed my life so I feel I’d be doing an injustice if I didn’t share it.

The same 30 days that I got out of bed without hitting snooze I also challenged myself to read for about 30 minutes before work. I got my reading done in the early morning while my subconscious mind was most impressionable. I have now read about 50 self Help and personal growth books in the past 2 years. Before that I had read 1 and nearly finished a second book in 20 years after finishing high school. 20 years almost 2 books. And now 50 books in 2 years just by reading a minimum of 30 mins per day. I can’t believe that tiny little change of just 30 minutes reading each day would make such a difference and I now have so much to share with my friends and followers.

If you have no discipline please try the 120 day challenge for yourself and see how your discipline and self esteem grow and you will thank yourself for trying it! Don’t do things that are too hard to start with, start small. Do things you can accomplish but do them daily for 30 days and you will see that you will most likely want to continue after the 30 days. By doing something good for yourself for 30 days straight you’re creating new healthy habits. In 120 days which is 4 months you can literally start to love yourself and be very proud of yourself and then you can find something else to add to your challenge.

I now have added to my 30 day challenge a free online short courses on YouTube. The one I’m doing now is called Buffetts books and I do this for 30 mins in the evening. I’m learning how Warren Buffett invests. This course is giving me all the tools I need to read the “Intelligent Investor” book by Benjamin Graeme. I tried reading that book but had no idea what they were saying so this course helped me massively so that I can understand what I’m reading.

I learned that there are 3 ways to earn money. One is to trade time for money, the other is to invest and the other is to set up multiple sources of income and setting up multiple sources of income is the one that the 1 percent of the richest people use. They multiply their time by creating multiple sources of income.

So, if you’re in a period of your life where you feel broken, please, I’m begging, try these simple tips and in 120 days you could feel yourself wanting to explode with happiness. While you can change everything on the outside, you will never get to being the happiest you can be unless you change from the inside. I was there. Broken. I felt useless and I hated myself.

Now I feel alive and amazing and I want you to feel that way too. I did this and I know you can too. Baby steps. Start with the snooze. Add in your walk, add in your run then add your gym session. Or whatever works for you, it can be anything that you think will improve your life. It may not be the same things that worked for me but find 5 things you need to do to improve your discipline. It’s so much better on this side of hating yourself. It’s a beautiful way to live. Please guys, give it a go. If it doesn’t work you can always go back to doing what you were doing beforehand, but I really believe from the bottom of my heart that you can be happy on the inside and that’s the most important thing I have learnt and how I got happy again. I’m so much of a better father now than I ever was and that’s the most important thing to me.

In my next blog I will explain more about what I’ve learnt about the 3 ways to earn money and how the rich do it and what I’ve started to do. It’s not as hard as we think it is.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to all you guys that follow my blog. I am truly grateful for all of your support and I hope that these little challenges help you in a way you thought was impossible. It’s so much sweeter on this side guys. Take care and stay safe! Please feel free to post any comments or questions below and I will get back to you when I can. Thank you 😊

Delayed Gratification

Hi guys! I hope you’re well and thank you for all the follows and nice comments. Today I’m going to talk about something that I was very bad at for 37 years and have now worked very hard on and dramatically improved and it’s really starting to pay off and that is Delayed Gratification.

For my whole life I have always done things that make me feel good or better in the moment. For example, comfort eating pizza instead of a healthy dinner. I put on alot of weight over the years and the reason I did was because of the instant gratification I was getting while eating that pizza or having that beer or eating McDonald’s.

I’ve read a lot of self help books and a lot of them talk about delayed gratification. For example if I eat the healthy dinner it won’t make me lose weight tomorrow. However if I eat that healthy dinner and do just 30 mins exercise everyday then I see great results in 6 months time. In this example (of eating) I look at eating healthily as an investment in my health and well being with the occasional treats so I don’t feel deprived and can continue to do well.

I always thought, “Ahh! Who cares? It’s going to take forever to get there.” Now I think 6 months will come and go anyway and if I just do what these books say then I will look and feel so much better than I do now. Thank God I read them because I have lost about 20 kgs and now feel amazing.

If I kept going down that instant gratification path then I would have ended up with an extra 10 kgs on top of what I already weighed which was a very unhealthy number and I was very depressed. By using the delayed gratification method, I elevated my self-esteem. I started to walk differently, talk differently and felt more confident and just healthier.

If you’re doing things that make you feel good in the moment but you know deep down that they are not good for you, then I highly recommend trying this method. Just understand that the 6 months will pass by anyway and if you stick by the method then you will thank yourself later for it. I did it and can tell you it’s so worth it. The difference you feel is amazing.

I thought “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Then tomorrow came and I thought “I’ll get started tomorrow” and on and on until one day I just thought, “I’ve had it. I’m finally just going to do this.” Please guys, if you actually start tomorrow and set up a plan to keep yourself busy and do what works for you and eat the healthy food, drink the water instead of beer, go for a walk instead of watching a TV show, then you will begin to feel amazing. Maybe sacrifice that coffee or snack in the morning and save that money for 6 months and buy yourself a real reward; something you’ve wanted for ages or just save the money and watch it grow – whatever works for you – this could even serve as a great motivator for you.

I’m not saying it’s easy to do. In fact it’s hard but the hardest things to do are often the best things for you. Now I live by this motto, it came from Les Brown, a motivational speaker: “Do what is hard today so tomorrow will be easier.” In other words, if I spend this decade doing the things I’ve always considered hard then next decade will be easier. It is so true but for so many so misunderstood,
including myself. I knew it deep down but never really thought about it properly,
nor did I have the discipline to do it.

In a later blog I will talk about discipline because it’s something I never had and now I have worked on it and have learnt how to apply it to my life. I know for a fact there are people out there that struggle with discipline like I did. The beauty of it is you can become more disciplined and I will explain how I did in a later blog. Hopefully it can help you.

I always went on diet after diet and lost weight then put it back on. This cycle went on for years; the typical yo-yo dieter. Since learning to apply discipline to my life with delayed gratification this is the longest I’ve kept the weight off. Bob Proctor said, “Stop thinking diet or losing weight.” These are his words and I’d like your thoughts on it because it makes sense to me. He said, “If you lose something, we are programmed to look for it. See yourself at the weight you want to be, feeling good and feeling amazing.”
He said to do this daily and you will soon “start acting like that person and you will end up being at that weight”. That’s what I did and I didn’t even know I had done that until I heard him say it.

My Blog is called Recycle Your Pain. I believe if you’ve been through massive pain in your life,
you can harness that pain and use that energy to better yourself and if you read my blogs and take some things out of them that work for you then you will be a lot happier down the track in 6 months. In fact, try some of my techniques for 90 days straight and you will feel amazing. I’ve been there with the pain and trauma. I still have it, but I use it to fuel me differently now. It’s so much better on this side of the pain guys. I am no expert on anything that I talk about in my blogs, I’m talking from personal experience, I’m telling you what I’ve been through and how it helped me. I really hope deep down that what I say can also help you.

I’d really like to thank you for reading my blogs and if any of them have helped you in any way at all then I am truly happy for you. I wouldn’t be writing these blogs if I didn’t think they could help and I’m truly grateful for your time.

The Law Of Compensation

Thank you for reading all my previous posts guys and thank you for following me. As you have read, I am studying some of the Universal Laws and will be sharing what I’ve learnt in upcoming posts.

Today I’m going to post about the Law Of Compensation. This Law is the same with every person, every time. It’s like the law of gravity. In fact all these laws I write about are all Laws of the Universe and they work for every person, every time.

The Law Of Compensation states 3 points. The amount of money you earn. Is always in direct ratio too:

  • 1. The need for what you do
  • 2. Your Ability to do it.
  • 3. The difficulty there is in replacing you.

Let’s break this down.

1. The need for what you do. I believe there is a need for what you do. What you do in your day jobs is a need. That’s why you have the job. For example, I’m an electrician. There is a need for electricians. Now some jobs pay more than other jobs based on the need for what the job requires. For example. If you work as a general labourer you will get paid a lot less than what a doctor would. As there are more people that can be a labourer than there are people that can be doctors. These are just examples.

2. Your Ability to do it. Most people learn how to do a job, then get comfortable and don’t improve from there. Earl Nightingale said “if you study 1 extra hour in your chosen field within 3 years you will be at the top of your field. In 5 years you will be a national Expert.

3. So point 2 takes care of point 3. Because if you are at the top of your field or become a national expert. You will become very hard to replace. Unless you don’t improve and then you will be easier to replace.

Think about the professional basketball player. See there are the players that are just good enough to make it. They get paid well as there is a greater need for what they do because people love watching basketball. However they can be replaced easier than a player like Michael Jordan. Now think of a player like Michael Jordan. He gets paid millions more than the average basketball player because he kept improving. He did more training than the average player did. Therefore got paid extremely well and was very hard to replace.

Let’s look at it another way, your a general labourer. There isn’t a great need for general labourers as more people can do it. There’s a need for that job but not a great need. your not the best labourer in fact your quite lazy and you don’t improve with learning. Then you will be very easy to replace.

Let’s flip that around again. Your a general labourer. You work for 5 different jobs over the next 5 years. First job, learn how to build fences. Second job, learn how to aluminium window and door frames. Third job, learn how to do flooring. Fourth job, learn how to tile roofs. Fifth job learn how to be a plaster or painter. You see then you can start a sole trailer business and with all those people you did work for in the past you can charge out a good rate and they know your a hard worker and your good at what you do. You will become valuable to all of them and you can make more money. These are just examples guys. Think outside the box.

Like I said before, I’m an electrician. I get paid more than the general labourer because there is a higher need for electricians than there are with labourers. I don’t want to be at the top of my field or an expert but I do want to get better as it’s my day job and keeps the roof over my families head and feeds them. So I do about 30 mins study per day on electrical. So everyday I’m getting a little bit better. I will be harder and harder to replace as I get better and better. Also as I get better I get more job offers and can charge a higher rate.

However I have a massive passion for helping people. I think there is a great need out the there for helping people. So that’s where I study a minimum of 1 hour per day. I’m constantly getting better and I have helped a lot of people along the way. Because later in life I want to be an expert on helping people and that’s what I want to do as a profession. I believe once I become an expert I can make 5 to 10 times the amount of money I earn as an electrician.

I’m constantly studying self help books and doing courses. I even did a life coaching course. I am not a life coach but that money I spent on that course has helped me massively. Now I have a better ability to help people. I am fascinated with helping people. The feeling I get from helping somebody is amazing. Every time I help somebody I feel more and more fulfilled.

I read somewhere that your gift will make room for you. I have a gift of care and empathy. That is my gift and that’s why I feel so good inside when I help people. I don’t get paid to help people but I believe one day when I become an expert at helping others. I will get paid to do it. Therefore very hard to replace too. In saying that. This is something I want to talk about in a later blog. Instant gratification versus delayed gratification.

So my suggestion is this. If you love your job that you already do then do an hour of study around that subject every day or every night. I suggest doing it, first thing in the morning before work as that’s when your subconscious mind is most impressionable. If you don’t like what your doing then change the course of your life. Think about what you would love to do. Try to get a job doing that and if you can’t yet then do some courses and study an hour per day on that subject and in time you will find yourself doing what you love.

In fact if you were to do that. In a few months of working towards your intended dream job or business or whatever you’d love to do. Then you will start feeling amazing inside because your growing and working towards something that means a lot to you and you will start feeling amazing. Then those dreaded Sunday Nights before going to work on Monday will not be as bad.

Thank you again for reading my post. I am very grateful and I hope you’ve learnt something from this post. Feel free to leave any comments or questions below and I will do my best to answer you. Thank you.

The Law of Increase

Hi, thank you so much for reading this blog and my previous blogs, I am very grateful. A lot of people now know about the Law Of Attraction but there are many other laws and the one I want to talk about today is the Law of Increase.

The Law of Increase is based on gratitude and praise. I believe we all want to increase our health, wealth, love for others and many more things. To do this we need to be grateful and praise. See the more we are grateful, the more we will have to be grateful for.

I remember playing football and I had a coach that used to yell at me and run me down all the time to the point I wanted to quit and walk away. I hated playing for that coach. I tried my hardest for that coach and I had just had enough of the abuse.

I then left and found a new football club and I had a coach that praised me and congratulated me more than ever and I not only loved playing for him, I actually became a better player. See, he praised me and in turn increased my confidence and it also increased his teams performance and my own performance. I was so happy playing for him and that team.

That is one way the law of increase works but it works with everything. You see if you want your wife or husband to love you more then praise her or him. Try to find 5 things per day you can praise them for and in return you’ll get more love back. Do you know your marriage could be saved if you just did that.

Try this with your kids. Make a conscious and determined effort to find 5 things per day that they did well and tell them how proud of them you are. They will start doing more and more things that are good to make you even prouder. I know this sounds basic but it’s true. Even if your child does something and doesn’t do it well make sure to tell your child you are so proud that they tried and that they’ll get even better next time. But make sure you let them know you are extremely proud that they tried! That’s very important. That alone will make them feel good and will try to do better next time. It’s healthy for your kids to know you’re proud of their efforts and not just their results.

Always try to look for the good or positive in everything. I challenge you to do this for 30 days and see what happens. You will thank yourself later because those kids, wife or husband will start doing more and more to make you proud of them and love you so much more than you can imagine.

If you continue to do it for 90 days you will start doing it subconsciously and that comes from the heart. That’s where the true magic happens. This stuff is so basic but so misunderstood. If we are going to change habits we need to do it for 90 days straight and that creates a habit and that’s when you start doing it subconsciously and not consciously.

Especially with your kids. You will teach them good habits for when they become parents. It’s very important that we know this works. Then they will do this with their kids and wife or husband and you see we can pass on great habits for generations. This is how true change in the world can happen. By praising your family it brings happiness to them and the things they do and I can guarantee you just want your family to be happy.

You see I’ve been praised many times for my blog posts because they have helped people and it just makes me appreciate that so much that I want to give more. I want to share more. I want help more. So again, thank you so much to all my followers and people that have praised me because I’m loving what I’m doing.

From what I’ve learnt, I am always looking for the good in everything. When I see it, I praise it. I show my gratitude. I tell the person what they have done that’s good. If you put good out there, you will get good back.

Think of this for a moment. If you point out the bad in people then you’re going to get anger and resentment and people thinking bad thoughts about you. I can guarantee it. When I was at my worst that’s what I did. I was a very negative person and I lost many friends.

Since then I’ve reached out and tried to make amends and used this law and they now love me again. You can fix a bad friendship. Start to look for the good In people and then praise them. You’ll be amazed. It’s one of the laws of the universe. It happens with everything. I have leant so much in the past 2 and a half years and it has literally changed my life and I want to help you change your life too.

If you want to increase the good things in your life, then praise the good things and you will get more good things to be grateful for.

Please try this for 30 days and then if you have the time let me know how you went. I’m very interested to see if it helped you and your family or friends. Also if this has helped you then share this information with people and teach them this law. It can change their lives too. You can find me on Facebook by searching Jamie Recycle and if you ever want to chat in private send me a friend request. Thank you so much for reading this blog, I’m very grateful😀.

Forgiveness

Thank you for reading this blog and my previous blogs, I’m very grateful. Today I want to talk about forgiveness and how it can help you grow.

There are two points about forgiveness I want to go into that has helped me since I turned my life around. The first one is to forgive yourself and the second one is to forgive the people that have hurt you or the people you resent from what they have done to you.

Now I’m pretty sure that somewhere, at some point in your life, you have done something you feel guilty about. It may be one thing or it may be many things. You actually may be disgusted in some of the things you’ve done in the past that you still carry guilt with you to this day. I will explain this in the best way that I can. If you wouldn’t do that thing now and yet you still carry the guilt with you then you are literally locking yourself up in a prison of guilt and guilt is one of the worst things you can carry through with you through your life. I will quote Les Brown “If you wouldn’t do it today then your convicting an innocent person”.

We are all human! We all make mistakes and if you can just understand and know within your heart you would never do it again then you need to forgive yourself so you can grow. You need to remove that negative feeling of guilt and completely let it go so you can grow. You can do this by learning from your mistakes. It sucks and I know it does. I’ve done many things in my past that I have felt guilty for and I now know that I would never, ever do those things again so there’s no point in carrying that guilt around because it will only cause depression, anxiety, guilt and all sorts of negative things, it can even leave you emotionally paralysed. Just let it go. You already know you wouldn’t do it again and your only hurting yourself further by carrying that guilt around with you. You need to remove that negative energy so you can make room for positive energy to flow through you. Remember, we are all humans and we all make mistakes. Take it a step further and amend that mistake if it’s possible and only if it will not harm or hurt the other person further. Apologise if you think it could help the other person. Even if you can’t apologise or think it would make things harder for them you can still own your mistake within yourself and see if you can do anything to make up for what you’ve done and do it with love – either for the other person, someone else, the community, your family, a stranger or even yourself. This will feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

The second one is to forgive others that have hurt you. You don’t have to actually go to that person and say I forgive you but just forgive them inside yourself so you can grow and move on. Otherwise you’ll hold the feeling of resentment inside you and that’s another negative feeling that will hold you back. There was a particular person that did something to me that I don’t want to discuss here and it was terrible and I felt so much resentment for this person for a long, long long time. It wasn’t until I forgave that person that I could actually move on. I didn’t actually say “I forgive you” as I haven’t seen that person for 30 years but I did it in my heart in my own way. I changed the way I looked at it.

You have the choice, you may still see the person that hurt you but you don’t actually have to tell them you forgive them if it’s a horrible thing they did. Just do it in your heart for yourself and your own life and emotional health. If you can tell they are sorry or they have said it, then that is even better. Just forgive them and move on. You have the choice to remove that person and never see them again if it was a horrific thing they did. Again it’s your life and you can make that decision.

What we need to understand is that it has happened and there’s nothing you can do about the past, it happened. You either let it destroy you or you forgive and grow. If you’re a victim and do not forgive them then you’ll be a victim for the rest of your life. I decided to get out of victim mode and my life has changed dramatically ever since.

You may wait your whole life for that person to apologise and it may never come so you have the choice to accept that and stop letting it hold you back.

Now I want to be very clear here, forgiveness can be one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do – whether it is forgiving yourself or someone else. Forgiving someone does not mean you condone their behaviour, if means freeing yourself from the chains of anger, hurt, resentment. This can take time, prayer, mediation, therapy, self help. Whatever works for you. Just be kind to yourself in the process and know that you are a work in progress and that you are trying and that is the best you can ask of yourself. Love yourself and talk to yourself the way you would your best friend. We are most critical of ourselves and would never dream of speaking to another loved one the way we speak to ourselves in our minds. When it comes to forgiveness, this requires the utmost self- kindness. This isn’t easy work but it’s essential for a lighter, happier, more fulfilling life.

You know there’s some people that are brilliant and can do amazing things but they don’t feel worthy because they have guilt wrapped so far around them that they feel paralysed. Please try to forgive yourself and others so you can grow. There are some great books out there about forgiveness. Have you heard of the law of attraction? There’s also a law of forgiveness. I am suggesting if you’re held back by guilt or resentment then you should try to learn a bit about the law of forgiveness and let that negative energy go to make room for positive energy. You will thank yourself later if you do. I really hope this blog on forgiveness has helped you. Please feel free to leave any comments and I’ll do my best to get back to you. Remember, I am no expert on forgiveness. I have learnt to forgive and it changed my life so I wanted to share it.

Thank you again for reading my blog. I really hope it has helped you. For now take care and be safe and remember, Forgive and Grow! Thank you.

FEAR!!

Hi guys and thank you for reading this post and any other posts I have published! I am truly grateful and I hope I am helping you. In the last post I wrote about the concious and subconscious minds and in this post I am going to write about Fear!

Most people don’t chase their dreams or do something they are passionate about because of fear. The fear of failure, the fear of what other people think etc. Zig Ziglar said it best for me when he said FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. You see, our subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between what actually happens in real time (reality) and what could happen (imagination, visions) so fear starts with a thought. What if I fail? What if I embarrass myself? Just like I wrote about in the previous post. Your fear starts with a thought and then your subconscious mind accepts that thought. The more you think about it, the more your affirming to your subconscious mind that you’re scared and this fear will become bigger and more powerful the more you think about it. That fear will start growing roots in your subconscious mind. I’d like you to think about something during your life that you were scared of and tell me if you think this is true? Really think about it. I didn’t go back and work as an Electrician because of Fear and it took me 5 years to say enough is enough. Because I then started to feel that it was the feeling of regret that would have been even more painful later in life if I didn’t do it. If you think about it, who cares what other people think of you because they will give it a quick thought and then go back to live their own life and you have not chased your dream because of what you think other people might think of you. What they think has absolutely no impact on what you do in your life unless you let it. Another great quote I find helpful is from Les Brown. “Don’t let other people’s opinions of you become your reality.” So my advice is don’t worry about what other people think of you.

I’m not saying it is easy because I can tell you from my own experiences that it is hard to overcome fear. I still struggle to this day and probably will for the rest of my life. And that’s ok because I am working on myself and growing as a person. Everyone is a work in progress. Everyone has a fear of something. I don’t know where I learnt this quote but “Feel the fear and do it anyway” is very helpful is summing up what I’m saying. I believe that is the best way to conquer fear. Do it before you think about it too much and it starts growing roots in your subconscious. Now, if you thought about a time in your life when you were scared of something and realised that the more you thought about it, the more it sunk into your subconscious mind and the harder it was to work through. This is the exactly what I was saying in my previous blog. If you do something on a daily basis, over a period of 90 days straight you will start to believe it. If you have gotten to a point where there is something you are now petrified to do, write down 5 things that could happen if you did it. Starting with the very worst case scenario. Look at those 5 responses and most likely the worst thing will not happen and if it does think how bad will it affect you. Then go down the list and do that with everything you wrote.

This is the crux of your fear of failure. Think about this for a moment. If you fail and never try again, then you fail. If you fail and try again then you figured out one way not to do something. The more you fail, the more you learn. Eventually you will get it right and it will pay off and you will be so proud of yourself and that feeling is amazing. If you fail and then just give up then you will eventually have the feeling of regret. Every time I have to do something I’m scared of I always ask those two questions; what will I learn if I fail? What will I feel if I just give up. Just remember this, do what is hard now so later in life it’s easier or better or you yourself are a better person for it. Most people do what is easy. The safe route. Then later in life it’s hard. “If you don’t fail. Your not even trying. To get something you’ve never had. You have to do something you’ve never done.” – Denzel Washington.

Please try to remember that quote. “Feel the fear and do it anyway.” Another thing to remember is your WHY!! Remember why your doing what your doing if fear is holding you back.

I hope this has helped you with something you’re scared about doing. Thank you again for reading this blog. Thank you again!

THE POWER OF YOUR MIND

I just want to start by thanking you for reading my previous posts. In my last post I talked about goal setting and how you can achieve your goals or dreams. I prefer to say dreams actually because then your working towards something amazing and something your passionate about it.

Today I’m going to explain what I’ve learnt about the conscious and subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is what you use to think with. That’s what you use to make decisions. You can make any choice you want because you can think and that’s your conscious mind. You can think any thought you want. At anytime. If your thinking negative thoughts. You can decide to think positive thoughts. You can think about a loved one for 5 minutes and it will change the way you feel. Your 5 senses include taste, touch, smell, hear and see. They are all hooked up to your conscious mind. Those senses are what make you think. This tastes bad. I’m going to throw it away and get something that taste good. I don’t like the sound of that so I’m going listen to something else, I don’t like the look of that so I’m going to look at something better. That’s hurts, I’ll never do that again. Wow that stinks. I’m getting away from that. Your concious mind is again, what makes you think. Your conscious mind thinks things and passes it onto the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is different. That is where your beliefs lie. Your beliefs are so powerful that they actually make you do what you do in your life automatically. You may believe you have a job and you will never get anywhere except for this dead end job. And feel miserable. You can alter your subconscious mind. Your belief system. The way you do it is by doing something repetitive everyday. Try to do it several times per day. That’s why I said to write down a goal card and read it as many times per day as possible. Over time by doing this your programming your subconscious mind and you eventually start to believe it. Once you believe it that’s when the magic happens.

You’ve gone from thinking I have no hope too. I can own my own business for example. What ever your dream may be. Once that happens you are now programmed to believe you can do it. Then your RAS which stands for reticular activation system will really go into action. Your RAS will filter through things in the world around you and show you ways too accomplish your goal. You may have noticed I repeat myself a lot. It’s because by reading this more and more you will change your subconscious mind and start believing you can do it.

Guys, your mind is not your brain!! Your mind is your soul. From what I’ve learnt and I only say it because I have practised it and it worked wonders for me. Your subconscious mind only has the ability to accept thoughts. It cannot reject thoughts. So you need to be aware of this and be like a security guard and protect what goes into your subconscious mind. You can decide what goes in there. If you hear a negative comment you can decide to ignore it. Get away from the person talking negative. That’s why I don’t watch the news anymore. So if you listen to or read or see something that can help you change your life. Do it everyday. It doesn’t just have to be a goal or dream card. You can go to YouTube and find something and listen to it daily. It could also be a book you read over and over again. From what the experts say. Your subconscious mind is most impressionable in the first 2 hours of your day. So I recommend you listen too, read or watch whatever it is that will change your life in the morning before work or school or whatever it is that you do. If you feel broken inside at the moment I really hope you take my advice. I am no expert. I learnt these things when I was at my most broken point in my life and truly from the bottom of my heart just want to help because I know how bad trauma is. If you have only just read this post and not my previous posts then I recommend reading my very first and you will then know what I went through. The pain, the trauma. The pain was so intense I felt broken in a way I can not describe. I then did this and within a month of doing it daily I started to feel heaps better. 2 months in a felt great. 3 months in I felt amazing. You can literally feel amazing from broken in 3 months if you promise yourself you will do it daily. Just type in motivational videos on YouTube. Play different ones until you find the right one For you and listen every morning without fail and from my experience, I felt a million bucks in 3 months and then I helped my family and was so much more of a better dad than ever. Please guys. I really hope you take my advice. I really want you to know this stuff works.

Think about this and I leant this from Bob Proctor. Another amazing man. Think about a baby. They are born and there subconscious mind is wide open. For the first 4 years they hear and see everything that happens around them. They hear how there parents talk and believe things. You can put anything you want into your babies subconscious mind. Like he says. Why do you speak the language you do. It’s because of the people and environment around you. If a baby is born in China, the baby once it talks can talk fluent in Chinese. If you were too put that same baby born in China and got adopted by and English speaking family then that baby would speak fluent English. The subconscious mind is so powerful guys. If you repetitively keep programming the right information then you will also change your belief system.

Thank you again for reading my blog. I really hope I’m helping you. If you have any questions at all please ask in the comment section below. I have now explained what I have learnt about the mind. In my next post I will explain what I’ve learnt about dealing with fear!! Thank you again for reading and I hope you are doing well and hope you read my next blog post. Take care for now and thank you again.

GOALS SETTING

Thank you for reading this blog, I hope you have read my previous blogs so what I say here makes more sense to you. In my last blog I spoke about the RAS which is your reticular activation system. Keep this in mind when I explain goal setting.

First, find a goal that you think is extremely hard to accomplish right now but something that has to do with your dreams, whatever they may be. Like I said, mine is to help 1 million people. Think big guys. Write it down on a card and keep the card in your pocket and read it as many times per day as you can. At least read it a minimum of 3 times. The more you read it. the more you start to believe it. You’re programming your subconscious mind and once it’s programmed and you believe you can do it your RAS will help you find the way.

  • Start by getting a piece of paper. And writing down where you are right now at the top of the page.
  • Then at the bottom, write down your goal. Your dream guys. What you really want to do that your passionate about.
  • Then just under the top where you wrote where you are, write down the resources and assets you have right now that can help you get there
  • Then put a line
  • Then write down the resources and assets you need to acquire to get there.
  • You may have to do courses and all sorts of things but it’s worth it
  • Do what others won’t do today so you can have what others won’t have later in life!!

Now you have it all on paper you can go to work. A little bit every day. You most likely have a job, so you go to work and create your daily goals. Don’t forget the little disciplines as I spoke about in my self-esteem blog. Do at least 30 mins to an hour per day working towards your dream or goal. Don’t look at the end goal and think it’s too hard. It may take 2 years, 5 years or even 10 years but it’s possible you can do it. Just look at that first step/goal you need to achieve and then do it. Then look at the next step. Each time you complete a goal you are growing; your self-esteem and confidence grows and you will feel alive and amazing. Do what you’re passionate about. That will pull you through it. When you have extreme challenges, and you will, just remember your WHY. I explained the power of your Why in one of my previous blogs. That will motivate you to push through the barriers along the way. You will get stronger and stronger. I’m no expert. I’m a normal everyday person that has done this myself and I went from homeless to feeling alive and amazing and I’m loving the journey and I genuinely want to help people since I feel the way I do. I feel I need to share it. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There is help out there and people are genuinely happy to help. Keep learning and growing and every day that goes by you will wake up smarter than the day before.

Remember when you’re going for your daily walk or gym and listening to motivation things on youtube you will get ideas. STOP WHAT YOUR DOING!!!! Then get your phone and go to the notes section and write it down so you don’t forget it. Those ideas come from your Reticular Activation System. Do not ignore it. The RAS is so powerful if you use it the right way.

This part is so important too understand. You don’t have to know how to achieve your goal. You just have to know that no matter what!! You are going to do it. Your drive and your RAS will help you find a way. I listen to Think and Grow Rich, the condensed version daily without fail. What this does by doing it everyday it changes your mindset and sinks into your subconscious mind. If you haven’t read that book or listened to it on audio, I highly suggest listening to it daily while walking and going to the gym. The condensed version goes for about 40 minutes. I’m not in this to get rich. I’m in this to help people. Like I said before, I’ve never blogged or written anything. I was a high school dropout. But my RAS told me to start blogging. I have no idea how to blog but just wrote from my heart. I went to youtube and watched videos on how to blog and here I am. Then my RAS said start a twitter account and share your blogs there too. See I’m getting ideas and using them. Slowly but surely I’m getting followers and I have no idea how long it will take but I know one thing for sure and that is that I’m going to help a million people in their darkest moments to recycle their pain and start living again.

Again I will say this. It is too important too not say again, you really need to understand this!! You don’t have to know how to achieve your goal. You just have to know that no matter what!! You are going to do it. Your drive and your RAS will help you find a way. I really hope my blogs are helping you. I truly believe if you’ve read all my blogs and put these things into action then you will feel so good inside and guess what? You will actually be a better person for the people that love you, for the people that rely on you. That is so powerful. Thank you again for reading my posts guys. I really hope this is helping you from the bottom of my heart. You may have noticed I’ve spoken about the subconscious mind a lot. In my next blog post I’m going to explain what I’ve learnt about the conscious and subconscious mind. Thank you again for reading. I hope you have an amazing day today! Also, if you have any questions please write it in the comments section and I will answer you the best I can. Take care guys.

THE POWER OF THE RAS

Hi how are you all today? I hope you’re having an amazing day!! In my last blog I explained how I achieved massive self esteem to the point that I loved myself for the first time in my life and felt amazing. I also spoke about chasing your dreams and said I would explain something I learned about the brain. I’m going to explain it in the simplest way I possibly can.

The thing in your brain I wanted talk about is your reticular activation system, also know as your RAS. When you decide your going to chase your dreams no matter what your RAS system starts looking for ways to make it happen. It filters information around you and then shows you ways towards your dreams. In other words when you decide to chase your dreams, you do not need to know how to do it.

Just DECIDE you’re going to do it. Take the first step. Your RAS will help you find the way. Look at where you are, then look at where you want to go. Your dream for example. Write this down. In the middle of the page write down the resources and assets you already have that you can use to get there and what resources and assets you need to get. Everything you need to achieve your dreams is already inside you and any resources you don’t already have are out there waiting for you.

You just need to find them and your RAS will help you do this. You will be going for a walk and then you will get a sudden idea in your head. THEN JUST STOP AND WRITE IT DOWN. You usually have your phone in your pocket so write in the notes section. When you get home use that idea. This will inspire you and then you will start to get more ideas.

Remember this if nothing else please. “When chasing your dreams you do not need to know how to get there, you just need to believe you will get there.”

Then your RAS will help you find the way. Most people do not follow their dreams because they think they don’t know how to get there. Try this with a goal that you think is hard and make a decision that you will do it no matter what. Write the goal on a card and read it a minimum of 3 times daily. The more you read it the more you will believe you can achieve it and once you believe it your RAS will show you the way. I can describe the RAS a lot more in detail but I am trying to keep it simple for people who are broken and just need the help. My posts are to help people that feel completely shattered and broken and how they can use that pain to motivate themselves.

The power of your pain or trauma is so powerful you can either let it destroy you or harness that pain and create an energy that you’ve never had before. I did this myself and if you read my very first blog you will understand what I mean. If you haven’t been hit by much pain or trauma you can still use these methods to take your life to a whole new level too. I’m just trying to help the broken people out there. Anyone else is a bonus. For an example of what my dream is. (I want to help 1 million+ people use their pain to chase their dreams and feel amazing again. I am grateful to help one, but my main goal is to help over a million people). I have no idea how to do it. I just know I will and really believe I will. My RAS told me to start writing blogs.

Gee wiz guys, I didn’t even finish high school. No idea how to write a blog but I just started. Used the resources I had which was the internet and looked on YouTube how to create a blog. I did what it said and here I am having a go. I know I’ll find the way. Guys, recycle your pain and have a red hot go at chasing your dreams. You will be surprised at how talented you are. Use your gifts guys!

This is the thing; as you start making progress, you start to grow. And as you grow, you start to feel alive! In my next blog I am going to talk about Goal Setting. Thanks again for reading this blog. I hope it has helped you. If you don’t understand things I have said. Please leave a comment below and I will try my best to explain. Thanks again and have an amazing day!!

HOW TO GET AMAZING SELF ESTEEM AND ACTUALLY LOVE YOURSELF AGAIN

Hi guys!! How are you all doing? I hope you’re well. I want to thank you sincerely for reading my last post. In this post I want to explain how I went from feeling so down and hating myself to feeling amazing and loving myself and how now my self esteem and confidence is unbelievable.
Let me start by saying it’s the little things: the small daily things you can’t be bothered to do. Write a list the night before of all the things you need to do the next day in your notes section of your phone – this is what I did, you can use a notebook and pen, whatever works for you. For example mine would be a list like this. You will have a completely different one because we all have different lives. Mine is an example of what I did.

  • Wake up at 4. Do not snooze
  • Get grateful
  • Make your bed
  • Have shower
  • Read for 30 minutes something inspiring like a Self Help book while having your breakfast and coffee
  • Brush teeth and get ready for work
  • Drive to work and listen to a motivation video on YouTube
  • Before you have even left your car, you have owned your morning!!!!
  • Go to work and do more than what’s expected
  • Now this is after work
  • Put your clothes washing on
  • Change straight away and go to the gym for minimum 40 mins also listening to motivation videos
  • Go for a 30 minute walk listening to more motivation videos with earphones in
  • Have a healthy dinner
  • Hang your washing out or put in the dryer
  • Deal with any bills or problems you may have
  • Make lunch for next days work
  • Then have 30 mins leisure time. I love cooking so I watch cooking shows. Jamie Oliver etc.
  • Have another shower and get ready for an early night
  • Write down a list of what you need to do the next day
  • Then go to bed and read and you’ll fall asleep.
  • Before bed promise yourself you will not push snooze.

If you can do that for 30 days straight you will feel amazing. It’s the small daily disciplines that you need to do that make the biggest changes in your life. Some may think, “Oh how boring.” Or “I can’t get up that early.” But if you are in a bad place in your life and you have read what I’ve said about recycling your pain, then you’ll have the power to do it. Guys, I can’t stress enough how much just doing this has helped me to achieve massive self esteem and you actually start to love yourself and your life. It’s amazing the feeling you get. I also want you to know that if you have a dream and you’re stuck in a dead end job then select self help books about your dream to read. Every day you read it you will get one step closer to your dream. Denzel Washington says it best for me “Don’t confuse movement with progress.” You have the power to accomplish anything you want.

Pick something you have dreamt of and want more than anything to achieve and do a little bit every single day and that dream will become more clear in your head and you’ll start to believe you can do it when you once thought it was impossible. What a time too start doing this now while we are isolated. Some have lost jobs, some are in lockdown, you can either see this crisis as a burden or a chance to go after your dreams. We have a power in our brain that I have learnt about that I will explain in my next blog. I hope you guys try this and again, If you do I know you will thank yourself later. The decisions you make today shape who you are and what your life is going to be in the future. Again please stay safe and have a great day. Thank you again for reading my blog post!

THE MAGIC OF GRATITUDE

How are you today? Thanks for taking the time to read my new blog post. Today I will talk about the magic of gratitude and how it changed my life. The day I decided to pull myself out of my pain and take on the world, I listened to a motivational speech on YouTube. It went for about 5 minutes and everything the video said made me think, “This is so true.” I also learnt that your subconscious mind is most impressionable in the first 20 minutes after you wake up in the morning. So I decided to listen to it every morning and have ever since. That is my first 5 minutes of my day after waking up. Then I think of 5 things I am grateful for and close my eyes and really FEEL grateful and say thank you for all of them. The magic of doing this repetitively changes your subconscious mind and you become a grateful person and I’ve been told on many different motivational tapes that “The more you’re grateful for, the more things you will have to be grateful for.” I’m not worried what people think of me so I’ll tell you this story. This is an example (My mums friend has a lot of money and dresses very well. He gave my mum a bag of very expensive, good quality clothing. (Hand me downs). And I dropped in to say hello to mum and she showed me the bag and said she was giving it to her brother. I said,
“those clothes are amazing Mum.” She said “you can have them” because she said her brother wouldn’t appreciate them. I tried them on and they were amazing and I nearly had a tear in my eye and she could see how much I appreciated them. She told her friend that hands them down to her how happy I was about the clothes. Cut a long story short; at the time I had no car, he had a Mercedes Benz he didn’t drive much and it’s worth at least $7000. He gave it to me and said when you get your tax back give me $3000 for it. I am not kidding. The power of gratitude is unbelievable. Think about it!! If you were to give something to somebody you would give it to somebody that would appreciate it and thank you from the heart. I felt so blessed. Guys, the point I’m trying to say is start practicing gratitude for what you have and stop focusing on what you don’t have and you will receive more things to be grateful for. Look on YouTube. Type in “thank you motivation” and it will be one of the first ones and it goes for about 5 mins. Listen to it every morning first thing before you do anything else and really focus on it. Then think of 5 things you are really truly grateful for. Even if you feel deeply depressed and think you have nothing. Just think of the roof over your head. Be grateful that you have a bed to sleep in. Be grateful you have food on the table etc, and do it daily. Once you’ve done it 10+ times you will start walking out the door for work or whatever you do so much happier. It happened to me. I’ve never stopped doing it but I recommended at least 60 days straight so it sinks in to your subconscious mind and it will help change some damaging beliefs. This stuff really works so please guys, if you’re in a really bad place now try this. You will thank me later. In my next blog I’m going to talk about how I went from having extremely bad self esteem to having the best self esteem I’ve ever had. I feel like a million dollars. I started to walk differently, talk differently and I felt amazing. Goodluck guys! I really hope you at least just try what I’ve recommended. You will never feel amazing in one day but if you give it time; 20 to 30 days, you will start to change. Guys please stay safe and I hope you read my next blog. I hope you have an amazing day. Thank you again for reading this blog!!!! This is the link to the YouTube clip I suggest you listen to first thing in the morning.

Thanks again for reading my blog post guys.

What’s Your Why??

Hi, it’s Jamie again. I’m glad you’ve decided to read my next blog. Today I’m going to talk about your WHY!!!! In my opinion your WHY should make you cry!! Your WHY should be the reason you get out of bed in the morning and chase your dreams. When you’re having difficulties and bad days (they happen because that’s just life) your WHY will get you through it. Your WHY will make you run that extra kilometre when you didn’t think you could. Your WHY will give you energy when you’re about to fall over. Eric Thomas said it the best for me. He said “your WHY must be bigger than that knockdown.” Thanks ET. By the way this guy is on YouTube and helped save my life. I cannot thank him enough. If your WHY is strong enough you will be able to do things you never dreamt of doing because it will give you the courage and determination time and time again to keep fighting until you achieve your goals. (For example I never would have written this blog or done anything like this in my life). I’m a big believer that every single person on this earth has a gift. That does not necessarily mean playing a particular sport, how far you can run, how good you are at singing etc. I’ve spent the last year and a half trying to figure out what my gift is and I’ve realised I have the gift of CARE. I care about people so much. I always have so much empathy for people and want to help them as much as possible. So I’ve realised that Caring and Helping is my gift so no matter how unprofessional this blog is, I’m just trying to help people because I care. I’ll say it again. If my blog posts can help even one person I will be very happy. And I have another quote, this one is from Denzel Washington “ helping somebody is the most selfish thing you can do. Because the feeling you get from helping someone is amazing”. My WHY is my kids. I have this beautiful blown up picture of them hugging on my wall and when I wake up, I look at that and get so grateful to have these beautiful kids that it gives me tingles every morning and I walk out that door with massive power to take on any challenge. In my next blog I’m going to explain the magic I got from gratitude. I really hope you understand what I mean about your WHY. It is so important to chase your dreams and work towards something because that means you’re growing and when you’re growing, you feel alive. Thanks for reading and I hope you read my next blog. Take care for now and ALWAYS remember your WHY!!!!

RECYCLE YOUR PAIN

Hi I’m Jamie, I want to talk a bit about myself and the the power you can get from recycling your pain or trauma. I’ve had two extremely traumatic events happen in my life. The first one was 16 years ago. That trauma was finding out my son had cerebral palsy. Now if my son reads this I want him to know that the depression I had through this time was not his fault. It was because I wished I could have his disability; for me to have it instead. I actually remember getting off the bus after work one day and I looked up to the sky and said “God please take his disability away from him and give it to me instead.” It got me into a massive depression and I had 16 years of losing jobs. Being stuck in bed for weeks at a time and it broke me. I felt so down I didn’t want to live anymore at times. And yes I contemplated taking my life many times. As time went on it got a bit easier to deal with and then I started feeling better. Then I had another traumatic event that literally broke me in a way that I can’t explain. My daughter was diagnosed with severe Level 3 Autism, completely non-verbal. I then became homeless and three days after I felt that pain, I had this feeling in my gut that I cannot explain. I think it was a higher power telling me to get up. That day was June 15 2018. That day I turned my pain into this extreme determination to transform my life. Since then I went from homeless and back to winning my family back; my wife and daughter. At the time I was doing a job I hated, it was minimum wage and I was always broke. I am a qualified electrician and had left the industry for five years. Using the power of that pain I made a DECISION to go back and work as an Electrician. Before that I always wanted to do that but was too petrified to do it. After making that decision I found a job as an electrician, failed straight away and felt down for a few days. Then I thought of WHY I was doing this and tried again and have successfully worked as an electrician since then and now I feel very comfortable working as an electrician. In later blogs I want to explain the power of your WHY. I will post more blogs around this subject as I genuinely want to help as many people as I can to recycle their pain and harness it to take them to a level in their life where they feel amazing again. I see so much pain out there and I want to help. If I can help even one person from my blogs then I will be very happy. I also want to note that I’ve never written anything before, blogs included so this is a first for me so please bare with me as I will not be the most professional blogger. I’ll always speak from my heart. Take care for now and I hope you read my next blog.
